Bodu Beru Jehun

Historians believe that bodu beru was first introduced in the Maldives during 11 the century AD. Bodu Beru is some what similar to the music performed in Africa. It’s most likely that bodu beru was introduced by the sailors from Indian Ocean Region

During those days bodu beru was performed by 15 people in a group, including three drummers, lead singer. Today bodu beru is an important event of entertainment at stage shows, celebrations and festivals.
