For many years the real leader of organizing Cultural events in the community was Late Mr. Abdulla Ali (Edhurubey/Edheremeeha). He belongs to the area/city “Makalla” of Ga. Villingili.
Since he was passed-away/passed away in 2007, his neighboring youth realized the loop hole in organizing cultural events in the community.
Finally they formed in 2008 January as Non-Governmental Organization, named as Society for Makalla Youth Development (SMYD)
